Eden Project, South Coast of Cornwall.

Eden Project est une sorte de parc écolo créé dans une ancienne carrière d'ardoise.

On peut se promener dans les allées longeant des plantations de toutes sortes, qui suivent le rythme des saisons.

Mais le plus intéressant, ce sont les serres géantes, ou biomes.

La plus grande reproduit un climat et un flore tropicaux. Il y fait 25°C et le taux d'humidité est de 90%. C'est irrespirable et magnifique.

La deuxième est dédiée au paysages méditerranéens. Steph y a reconnu son cher maquis corse.

Bye Bye Albion

Left the apartment on wednesday night.

Been at Martina's place since then. She's a friend of Marie. German teacher, teaching French and German at Godolphin (the Harry Potter-like girl school where Marie's been working for 2 years). She's in love. It's so cute...

 

S. left yesterday.

Tearless sobs of mine, both sad and happy feelings under the rain.

I just know I've never felt so alive or so myself ever, though.

Leaving France brought me so much. Unexpected pain. Unfathomable happiness, freedom, self-fulfillment.

Unexpected strong and deep friendship.

 

Marie is leaving for a school trip to France in 45 minutes. I will be gone when she comes back.

Tomorrow will be one long Steph and Marie-less day.

I'll be in France in exactly 2 days.

I will definitely miss speaking English.

 

Cornwall, Part I

 

2 very busy days in Cornwall

 

An awesome road trip with S. and M.

Part I: Sunny Sunday, Tintagel and Padstow

On the road before Tintagel, we stopped at a place where King Arthur was supposedly killed during a battle.

There was a lovely walk in the fields and the underwoods, amongst cows and sheep.

Hills, streams, bluebells.

In Tintagel we visited the ruins of the castle where King Arthur is supposed to be born.

Simply breathtaking.

 

NB: Along the veyr tiny Cornish roads are thick stone walls covered with moss and a variety of plants.

There, Marie had a pigeon-caused accident. S. en rit encore, la vilaine.
